A member asked:

How often can you take a methylprednisolone dos pak for rheumatoid arthritis if nothing else works? how many times per year is safe? it gives me so much relief?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If you're being treated by a rheumatologist for RA, he/she is best to determine whether taking medication daily or a medrol dospak every 3 months is best for you. That is a frequent limit set for nonchronic disease or nonautoimmune disease patients. If you're not being treated by a rheumatologist, I strongly recommend that you consult one. The goal is to prevent serious irreversible joint damage.
