Pumice stone: Use pumice stone lightly after taking a shower or a bath. The water softens the skin. If you have diabetes and or neuropathy best if it is done professionally by a podiatrist since you may be at higher risk for infection if you were to remove too much skin.

Dead skin: Can be removed using over-the-counter creams that contain lactate or urate ingredients. These ingredients may be available in the 12 to 20% range respectively. Also keep in mind that there may be other underlying skin pathologies occurring. These pathologies can be coming from athletes foot or other more serious skin conditions. See you podiatrist or dermatologist for evaluation of these problems.

Remove: Dead skin can be removed by many creams with urea in them. If your not diabetic these are safe for you. We carry something in my office called baby feet which patients love.
