Crepitus: There are many causes for popping in the joint (crepitus). This can include but is not limited to bursitis, tendinitis, cartilage or labral tear, cartilage wear (arthritis), joint instability. If there is no associated pain, then likely you don't have to worry about it. If there is pain, then see your doctor.
