Should i worry if my current pregnancy goes for longer than 9 hours, if i typically have had short pregnancies?

Labor can vary: Having shorter durations of labor in pregnancies after the first delivery is common but not guaranteed. There is some truth to the familiar saying, "every pregnancy is different". What can determine if a labor is abnormally long is the lack of progress determined by repeated examinations of the dilatation and effacement of the cervix and station of the presenting part.
