Can i take a ginseng supplement while on wellbutrin (bupropion)?

What for?: I am not aware of good scientific data indicating ginseng's effectiveness in helping depression or efforts to quit smoking - the 2 common reasons for wellbutrin (bupropion) prescriptions. If wellbutrin (bupropion) is not working well for you for either of those conditions, speak to your doctor about it rather than adding ginseng, which can alter the metabolism of various meds and have other s/e.
