Splenic flexure syn: Several things can cause discomfort in the left upper abdomen. The colon getting distended in the splenic area is quite common cause of pain, splenic flexure syndrome.Diet plays a key role in preventing gas as well as liquid retention in the body. Food known to naturally cause excessive gas are recommended to be avoided.If diet does not help should consult physician.
