I have ibs and have flare but going on holiday in a week. if i contact dr will they stop me going?

Confused. : Question says ibs but there is blood in stool and medications include asacol (mesalamine). These last two features are more characteristic of ibd than ibs. In either case vacation is not precluded by these unless of course you are planning a hike to remote bhutan or the likes. For both of these diseases you and your doc should have a plan for flares.
