.: If baby is acting fine, feeding well, no excessive cry, no obvious lesion on skin and not showing any signs of changed behavior, he/she should be fine. Advise: be more gentle with babies. They are delicate and have a higher chance of injuries than older children.

Hard to say : If the kid has a vigorous pattern of feeding & there is no "bump", you may have slid by without a problem. If the soft spot is tense or the kid won't feed, it would be good to have him seen.

Examine: If there is a bruise on the scalp, a visit with your pediatrician is advised. Observe the baby for changes in feeding, irritability, change in tone or cry. If these occur, please go to the hospital. Most likely, there is no injury and everything will be well.
