Cough: You could have a post nasal drip which may give you heartburn and cause you to wheeze as well brought on by a viral infection. Use saline nose drops several times a day. Keep your vaporizer on at night when myou sleep.

All from heartburn: Heartburn can mimic asthma and allergies and produce a cough through something called laryngopharyngeal reflux, which is an extension of gastroesophageal reflux (fancy name for heartburn). Hopefully treatment of the heartburn will make everything else go away as well. Try Prevacid or Nexium (esomeprazole) OTC for a week and if all's not well after that go see your PMD.
