A member asked:

Why do blood vessels appear bluish or greenish under the skin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Veins are closer: Veins carry blood that has given up oxygen(and headed to the heart and lungs for more oxygen) and that blood is darker than oxygenated blood in the arteries which are deeper and less visible.
