Evaluation: It could be many things but if swallowing ability is affected, you should see your physician to get a neck/thyroid u/s and possibly more (endoscopy) as indicated...

Neck: Could be many things including enlargement or inflammation of your thyroid or silent acid reflux. Have it checked out with an ENT. They will look and probably get an ultrasound or scan of that area
