Need to know...: The cause or source of the problem. How long ago was the gallbladder surgery? If the surgery was recent then your surgeon needs to identify the source of the problem to know if antibiotics are the right treatment. If the surgery was more than a few months ago, your primary doctor would need to help identify the cause to be able to select the right trestment. Cannot tell if antibiotics are needed.
