Simple pleasures: I'd much rather you be drinking soda pop -- empty calories or calorie-free belly-wash -- than doing tobacco, alcohol, recreational drugs, wasting time on video games / junk TV, being lovesick, overeating, skipping exercise or otherwise engaging in any of dozens of things that will do you much more harm. Other than getting fat / bad teeth from excess sugar, it won't really hurt you.
