A member asked:

Can a 13 week ultrasound ever be mistaken for a 9 week ultrasound?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shouldn't happen: If i understand your question, a 13 week ultrasound of a fetus should be very different from a 9 week ultrasound. The crown-rump length of the fetal pole should be much longer, and fetal anatomy should start to be measurable and quantified. If there is a discrepancy between the date of the last menstrual period and the ultrasound dating of the fetus, the ultrasound should be more accurate.
