Ultrasound +/- 8%: Properly performed and interpreted ultrasound examinations have a variability of 8% plus or minus the measured dating. Us is most accurate when measuring the crown rump length (crl) of the fetus, at between 8 and 13 weeks. Ultrasound dating at 11 weeks 0 days should have a 95% confidence range of 10 weeks 1 day to 11 weeks 6 days which is +/- 8%.
