Can give it a try!: Nerve pain can be due to a long list of things. In anatomic compression/entrapment, other treatment modalities are recommended. If due to neuropathy or neuropathic pain, acupuncture may provide some benefit. Improvement is not measured by reduction in pain alone, but also by functional improvement & by modulating ones perception/tolerance to pain; the latter is often over looked in research design.

Acupuncture: Talk with the physician who diagnosed your nerve pain about acupuncture. Depending on the actual cause of your nerve pain, acupuncture may or may not be able to fix that. However, even if the acupuncture is not curative, it can be highly effective in reducing inflammation & pain. In many situations it can be curative. Take care.
