Plication is : The best of surgical techniques but the major clue for you is the high triglycerides that rise from consumption of sugar not cholesterol. I lost 11 pounds easily (172-161) by stopping all forms of sugar. See my blog "oxygen the spark of life" and go to the post "sweet and dangerous" the story behind cholesterol is now out of date. Sugar is the villain.

Any surgery: has the potential to lead to cardiac complications, such as heart attack. How much of a chance is dependent on the type of surgery being undertaken, and the underlying condition of your heart. At 38 years, you are unlikely to have significant heart disease, but certainly possible. You will benefit from a thorough cardiac workup prior to consideration of the surgery. Suggest you see your doctor.
