Homosexuality: No, not usually. One does not choose their sexuality. One can choose to be celibate, but this can be a very painful and unfulfilled lifestyle choice. I would recommend you get to see a compassionate therapist who can help you make the choices in your life that will be healthy and whole. I would hope you can find a way to have compassion for yourself as you are.

No: Programs to "convert" or "cure" homosexuality have widely been discredited. The largest organization in the us that performed these "conversions" recently closed and apologized for all the harm that they have done. While desire cannot be changed, a person may choose not to act on those desires. This is a personal choice but should not be done with the expectation of "turning straight.".
