May be: Just poor hygiene. It may come from the presence of certain bacteria on the skin. Assess your attitude to hygiene.

Could be: Especially if there is something wrong with sewage or other source of elimination. I would have that checked out. Do you have a city seer or some other type in your home? Something could be wrong with any type.

Parosmia: It is possible to have strange smell sensations caused by inflammation of your smell nerve (olfactory nerve). Some smell smoke a lot but ammonia is not uncommon. I would get this checked out to make sure nothing serious is causing this.
