Grinding teeth: Bite colapse could be a part of the problem or simply the result of something else. Frequently loss of occlusion is due to grinding your teeth. Has your dentist addressed that possibility? If not, ask him/her next time you are in if you could be grinding your teeth at night or on the job. A night guard appliance may be suggested to prevent further problems.

NO: Your vertical bite relation is determined by your back teeth and not your front teeth.
