A member asked:

I have noticed a trend where physicians are now dividing up once a day medications into bid directions, like lasix (furosemide) and lisinpril, why is that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lasix (furosemide) due to : The short half life is more effective as a bid drug especially in those with chronic kidney disease. I don't know a benefit for using once a day ace inhibitors bid.
