A member asked:

What is the prognosis of a patient with cytostomy and how often must change the bandage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends what you mean by prognosis. If by prognosis is whether or not you may be able to go back to you normal method of removing urine wastes from the body, it depends on the reason that it was placed. The treatment of the underlying reason and duration of time to recover ultimately is the prognosis. Dressing changing depends on degree of soiling or leakage.
