Never encountered it: Not entirely sure. Have never encountered a patient with a similar presentation after starting Lansoprazole or any other proton pump inhibitor medicine. The two events may not be related at all. Ask your provider to check your urine for other concerning conditions to know for sure. Thanks for the interesting question.

I don't know: I would discuss this further with your prescribing provider. Lansoprazole has been linked to interstitial nephritis, crystal urine and urinary retention.
