Usually Not: A D&C should not have any effect on your hormones. Although most people aware of racing or skipping of their heart turn out to have no serious abnormality and often require no treatment (especially if there is no other known heart disease or symptoms such as lightheadedness, chest pain or shortness of breath), if you are aware of fluttering of your heart, it would be worthwhile having a checkup.

Atrial fibrillation: Or a transient arrythmia is unusual. I would go see your doctor about this and make sure you are off caffeine. And any other stimulants. Let them evaluate you and decide what to do.

These past 2months i get heart flutters a week or so b4 period. Could it be hormonal? I suffer from anxiety as well, & have minor acid reflux.
Stress test, echo, two week Holter all normal. Thyroid, other blood work all normal. Having fluttering/skipping/racing heart beat of varying duration, severity, and timing. Could this be stress/panic attacks or even a hormone imbalance?
For the past few months Ive been getting random flutters in my chest, almost like my heart is misfiring and then its followed by a surge of adrenaline. They were pretty small at first but I just had one and it was far more intense. Thoughts?
