Yes: Palpitations are common in menopause and are related to changes in hormone levels. Hormones are commonly given to women to treat those symptoms. Palpitations are just the fluttering sensations in the chest most commonly caused by the heart skipping, or beating faster or more forcefully. Sometimes the fluttering sensation is due to something else and the heart rhythm is normal.
