No, however...: Loose stools are not a side effect of paxil, (paroxetine) however digestive problems and loose stools are common with anxiety and panic. 12.5mg is a fairly low dose, the "average" dose for major depression, generalized anxiety, or panic disorder is 40mg of paxil, (paroxetine) but people with anxiety with often need a slower increase up to 40mg to reduce side effects.

Loose stools: As a class of medications, the ssri antidepressants tend to produce loose stools as an initial side effect. Paxil (paroxetine) is an ssri, but it is probably the least likely one to cause loose stools. Talk to your doctor. It is possibly due to Paxil (paroxetine) but, if so, it should go away after no more than a week. If it persists, you should have it evaluated.
