DDD: Ddd is a radiographic diagnosis as opposed to a clinical one. Therefore, in and by itself, ddd should not be used as the sole reason when considering a medical discharge. Associated clinical symptoms are more important to consider. Changing your duties and assignment may be a better long-term option.

Join the rest of the: Human race. Degeneration starts at age 10 and goes on until you die. Smoking accelerates this 4 times over a non smoker and genetics as well as obesity play a role too. When symptoms develop, most are managed non operatively with lifestyle modification, exercise and medication if no contraindications.
