Normally very good: How the baby does after delivery will depend on how far along you are in pregnancy, how long the blood flow has been compromised and how the baby is doing right before delivery. It will also depend on which tests showed the problem and how severe it was. Most of the time, once the decision has been made that the baby needs to come out right away, we can get them out fast.

See below: The odds are improved in a hospital where there is an on-staff obstetrician and a fully developed nicu. If you are in a facility such as this and are being monitored then the chances of survival for your child are very good.
