Risk vs benefit: That 1:3 is over a lifetime, not that every 3rd person you meet is taking ad. In general, untreated depressive illness is far worse than the side effects of ad, except for brief period as feeling more energetic but still depressed due to risk of suicide attempt. Majority do not experience significant or long term ill effects with properly prescribed and monitored medications.
