Breast feeding: Ovulation resumes around 30 days post partum in breastfeeding moms. You may have some pain on the side of ovulation called mittelschmerz. However, in general most women aren't aware of ovulation while breast feeding. Its fine to use condoms or Progesterone based birth control once your milk comes in. Talk to your provider about these options.

Will not: It will be very hard to predict ovulation while breast-feeding. If you are not desiring another pregnancy soon i would use some type of contraception.
