Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo: You can use frequent shampooing and combing or get 1percent Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo over the counter. Cradle cap is caused by a fungus and Nizoral (ketoconazole) works. Be sure to keep the shampoo out if the childs eyes.

Skin care: One treatment is a small amount of baby oil and gently brushing away the crusts. Shampoo on the face should be avoided.
