Ingrown hairs?: These occur often due to ingrown hairs since the liners are snug. Meticulous care of the liners, rotating them every other day, and use of antibacterial soap on both the liners and residual limb is helpful. It is also important to make sure the soap is completely washed off, that no alcohol based products are used, and that a good moisturizing lotion is used before putting on the liner.

Prosthesis person : You have had a below the knee amputation. You have noticed big pimples in the back of the stump. You want to stop these. See the prosthesis specialist who made it. The area that you are describing is either causing friction and will wear down even more or this may be the suture line and will get worse as you are wearing the prosthesis. My guess is you are walking more.
