Alcohol withdrawal: Symptoms usually present within 6 hours of drinking cessation. Milder symptoms include anxiety, insomnia, tremulousness, GI upset, anorexia, headache, sweating, etc. If withdrawal does not progress (mild) symptoms resolve within 24 to 48. Seizures and delirium tremens (dt's) are seen in more severe. Unfortunately most doctors have seen patients succumb to lethal alcohol withdrawal.

Anxiety: Most people with alcohol withdrawal, who are usually daily drinkers, experience symptoms/signs within 4-6 hours after last drink or reduction in drinking, with anxiety, insomnia, sweating and restlessness, followed by "shakes", increased anxiety and agitation, nausea/vomiting/ diarrhea, and in severe cases seizures and delirium (dts). It is bad for your blood pressure/depression and diabetes.Stop!
