Your workplace air may be too dry for you, causing a cough, it could cause a postnasal drip to occur making you cough, it could also be due to something in the air that you may be allergic to, also causing a cough. Another possibility is the job itself. Talking for hours can irritate your throat causing your cough. There are likely other possibilities.
