Can I be pregnant: It is not recommended to take home pregnancy tests before one misses the period after possible impregnation. But, now that you have missed your period it is time to do a home pregnancy test.

1 - 2 days: In most cases a normal pregnancy should produce enough hormone to be detected in the urine prior to missing the period . Sometimes a pregnancy doesn't implant so i recommend waiting over a week to detect a pregnancy which does implant.
