Depends: If your surgeon can repair (stitch together) the tear, then you will need crutches and may also require a brace with restricted motion for up to 6 weeks, followed by rehab to regain strength and motion. If the tear is not repairable and your surgeon simply trims it out, then you can return much quicker. Probably within 2-4 weeks based on your comfort. Your young age helps speed your recovery.
