A member asked:

What side affects can i expect from upping my dose of effexor (venlafaxine) xr from 150mg to 225mg? it's my second day

Not much yet: You need time for the body to respond to the higher dose. The goal is to relieve your symptoms (depression, anxiety, etc). Don't let your current mood cloud the positive expectation that the dosage increase will relieve your symptoms. It will be gradual over the next 10-14 days or, perhaps sooner.

Like the begin: If u remember the way u felt the 1st few days/wks of starting effexor (venlafaxine)?, every time you go up on your dose, these symptoms/ feelings can recur. The worst side effect is if you feel more depressed and become suicidal.Seek medical help asap . Most mild s.E. Pass after a few days...If not, return to your prescribing doctor to discus.
