I have only taken effexor (venlafaxine) for 1 week low dose 37.5mg side effects are driving me crazy can i just stop taking it or do i have to wein off?

No need to wean. : If you have only been taking that low dose for that short a time period, you do not need to taper or " wean" off. Keep in mind that most initial side effects may resolve on their own within 1-2 weeks, so if the symptoms you are having aren't too bad, you may try to ride it out for another week or so before giving up on the medication.

Depression, Effexor (venlafaxine): I understand your discomfort. Effexor (venlafaxine) is a medication for treatment of depression. 37.5 mg./day is low dose for treatment of depression. Please see your psychiatrist for present symptoms, Effexor (venlafaxine) effects and treatment including psychotherapy.
