I take ativan (lorazepam) 1 mg 3 times per day and i don't feel sedated or "drunk" but when i drive , even hours after taking the medication i've gotten into minor accincidents and will drive up in the kerb. why?

Impairment: The fact that you have had accidents suggests you are impaired even though you don't notice it. You should not take Ativan (lorazepam) if you are going to drive. Discuss this with your doctor.

If you need that : Much ativan, (lorazepam) you probably should see someone about multi modal therapy for anxiety. In the meantime, if you take ativan, (lorazepam) please be responsible and stop driving.
