I wouldn't: Since it isn't emergent, i would save any procedure until infection free. Sometimes you don't have a choice...But in this case, waiting a week or two may be helpful.

Yes but ...: You can but it's not advisable because you will be weak and likely dehydrated. Also, you're more prone to a secondary infection because of your weakened state.
