Hello doctor i m 1 month pregnant and my thyroid(tsh) test says 5.47uiu/ml which exceeds normal range of 5.25 by .22.i want to what should i do now.

Start thyroid med: During pregnancy we would like to see the TSH ideally between 1 and 2 uiu/ml. A level of 5.47 is high. If you have never had a problem with your thyroid before, you should have it repeated before starting thyroid hormone. If you are already on thyroid hormone, you need more while pregnant.
