Have been taking 1mg xanax (alprazolam) a day and 10 mg ambien at night for a while and would like to start to reduce my need for both drugs. any thoughts?

The best for you: Is to talk with the doctor who prescribed you these meds and ask her/him for help. Same advice if ever you would have been self-medicating yourself: you need to see a doctor for help and safety. Best wishes for you to find help the smartest & safest way. Take care.
