Blisters: Your husband sounds like he gets herpes simplex from the elements. Talk to your doctor or a dermatologist about taking antiviral medication such as zovirax (acyclovir).

Protect from sun: Sun exposure can certainly cause viral or herpetic outbreaks. Prevention with sunscreen and hats can be a big help. Ask your physician about a prescription for zovirax (acyclovir) that can be taken in the early tingling prodromal stage and lessen or eliminate full blown outbreaks
