No problema: Mild prolapse can be thought of as a variant of normal. Mild mr is harmless. You can participate in all sports and eat a normal healthy diet without restrictions. I advise a surveillance echocardiogram every 3-5 years to be sure the severity of mr is remaining mild but others may not even feel that that is necessary.

Should be benign: I'm afraid that my experience with most cases of diagnosed mvp involve an incorrect diagnosis. It is frequently the case. Also important is what symptoms lead someone to do an echo and 'diagnose' mvp. So a second opinion might be in order. That said, it is generally a benign condition. Thee should not be any dieatary or exercise restrictions according to any published guidlelines.
