Depends: Growth impairment near the time of delivery can be a sign of poor placental function or issues within the baby.I would expect the OB to do a stress test now and or watch the babies responses in early labor. A decision for c-section may be made early if the infant shows signs of distress.The babies doc will need to sort out any issues that may or may not be due to a weakened placenta.
