Osgood Schlatters: Osgood schlatters is a condition in growing adolescents which occurs at the patellar tendon insertion onto the tibial tubercle. Can lead to pain, swelling, and sometimes permanent engargement of the area. Patellar tendinitis is similar, but pain is in the tendon itself rather than the insertion. Both treated very similarly with rest, ice, nsaids, eccentric exercises, counterforce bracing, etc.

Osgood Schalatters: Osgood is in those that are still gowing and effect the patella and top of tibia., the tendonitis is in same region but has no effect on the bone just the tendon. Shin splints is ifflamation of the soft tissue attached to the lower leg.
