1-2 weeks : If there is worsening swelling, pain, redness, warmth/heat, recommend seeing your doctor asap or go back to the er for a wound check. Hand cellulitis (infection) is a concern and if not treated with antibiotics soon will lead to complications and may necessitate need for surgery and IV antibiotics.
