Neurologist: There are some ways to treat the symptoms of neuropathy such as lyrica, (pregabalin) neurontin, elavil, and others. Neurologists are the best doctors to help you find a treatment for your neuropathy. While there is no cure, you can try to obtain some symptom relief.

None: "alternative treatments" rarely provide lasting relief of neuropathy symptoms. I know of none that have been subjected to appropriate study with lasting beneficial results. The placebo effect is very powerful and often provides temporary improvement or even relief of neuropathy symptoms. Lasting relief is rare.

Non medication optio: In addition to the medications that have been listed there are some other options that may be useful for symptom relief. Of course an evaluation and proper monitoring should occur under the supervision of a medical doctor. Symptoms may be helped by acupuncture and Alpha lipoic acid in some instances. You also want to check with your physician to make sure that your B12 level has been checked.
