It could be : It could be many things. Certain foods may cause this. Another common cause is a food borne pathogen (the famous h pylorii) that causes several problems, but is easily erradicated generally with good treatment. This is just one possibility; your dr will determine the exact cause in your case through examination and maybe some tests.

Reflux : Your symptoms may are likely explained by acid reflux. Certain foods & medications are the most common factor. Can start by modifying your diet and by taking Tums +/- antacids such as ranitidine for a few days. If symptoms do not improve, can try otc Prilosec or prevacid (lansoprazole). For symptoms lasting beyond 2-3 weeks or in the presence of other concerning symptoms, should see your dr for an eval.
