HBP and Swelling: It is certainly a possibility. Many high blood pressure meds can cause ankle swelling. Consult doctor the wrote rx.

Could be the Adalat (nifedipine): Adalat (nifedipine) is a calcium channel blocker. These drugs are very good treatments for hypertension but can cause foot swelling. The concor is less likely to be doing this. There are plenty of other drugs for high blood pressure so your mother would be best to consult with her doctor about alternatives.
